Having suffered chronic back pain as a result of a childhood injury, compounded by injuries suffered in my adult life, my use of opiates grew to unacceptable levels. At my core I wanted to be free of opiates but I did not know how to manage the ever-present and distracting pain on my own. I knew of no effective alternative to opioids until I began learning about RSO a few years ago.
In June of 2017, I slowly reduced my morphine intake by 20mg. While I'd become aware of the broad, healing reach of RSO, I'd never read or heard of anyone using RSO for opiate cessation. But instinctively I thought it could help with the encroaching withdrawal symptoms. I started taking RSO and my symptoms began to diminish. Encouraged by this, I reduced my opiate intake by 160mg. After a month and a half of taking RSO orally, I was free of half my opiate dose and I stopped my use of RSO. Life was getting better but my pain began resurfacing. The thought occurred to me to use a topical salve, an RSO infused coconut oil which I began applying to areas of my stubborn neuropathic pain and the painful burning reduced significantly.
What is RSO? RSO is a powerful, versatile cannabis concentrate that can be administered in several ways including orally. topically and rectally for the treatment of a myriad of conditions that afflict many. Rick Simpson, the discoverer of this powerful medicine has devoted his life to educating us on the healing virtues of RSO.
RSO can be purchased locally to adults over the age of 21 or to medical cannabis patients at McKinleyville’s Satori Wellness. Come by and meet the knowledgeable staff at Satori Wellness and enlighten your path to wellness today!

If you have ever wondered about all the different Terpenes and their uses, we love this guide by sclabs https://www.sclabs.com/terpenes/
Terpenes, or isoprenoids, provide cannabis with its unique bouquet. The molecules are quite small and consist of repeating units of a compound called isoprene. Although less well-known than the major cannabinoids, terpenes are instrumental to the physiological and psychoactive effects of cannabis. The relationship between terpenes and cannabinoids, known as the “entourage effect,” ultimately differentiates one strain of cannabis from another.
